Shopping in Munich

Tax Free Shopping

This is only of interest if you are not from within the EU. VAT is high in Europe and it can safe you 16% if you watch out for the tax free signs. Shops display them usually clearly close to the credit card signs at the door. What you buy is packed and sealed. Ask at the airport where you leave the country for the tax refund office, show the sealed good and finish the paper work.
