The Prinzregentenstrasse begins at the south end of the English garden and leads towards east over the Isar. It emerged at the time when prince regent Luitpold ruled in Bavaria. It was the third street planned by a ruler after the Ludwig- and the Maximilianstraße. The highlight is doubtless the Friedensengel(peace angel), immediately after the street crossed the Isar. Along the street there are several nice buildings, the Villa Stuck, the Bavarian National Museum and the Prinzregententheater.
