The St. Pauls church is made in Neo-Gothic style, related to the Gothic of the Middle Ages. Prince regent Luitpold gave the architect Hauberisser, who was well known after for his new city hall building, the order to create a midpoint for the Ludwigvorstadt. He used the same style for the outside as well as the interior decoration, which made his work a stylistic unit.
