The jesuit church St. Michael was planned by duke Wilhelm as a retaliation against the Reformation and as a manifestation of his own claim of power. For this very reason it was quite generously designed in its measures are that large that it is regarded as the largest renaissance church on this side of the Alps. At the facade, a bronze figure of the archangel Michael and also figures of the Bavarian rulers can be admired.
