Ludwig I

Ludwig I., who wanted the Ludwigstraße and the Odeonsplatz to be build, has his monument in this area. The extremely romantic monument shows an idealized ruler with a crown on a horse, who is accompanied by two medieval clothed servants. The socket figures symbolize religion, art, poetry and industry, subjects areas that were promoted with enormous effort by Ludwig I.
