The Neues Schloss Schleissheim(new castle) was planned after a great military succes of the ruling leader at that time, Max Emmanuel. After some tough losses during the Spanish succesion war the ambitious plans for a three wing castle had to be canceled, but the first wing , which is still existing, stayed.
