The Ludwigsbruecke (bridge) connects the Isartor with the Gasteig. Here, it wase also where Heinrich the Lion 1158 had the new bridge constructed for the salt street, that Munich owed its development of the city. There were multiple reconstructions up to the current version of the Ludwigs-bridge from 1935.
