The Prinz-Carl-Palais (Palais (palace)) received its name from a brother of Ludwig I.,who acquired it 1825 from the original owner de Salabert. The early classicistic building, in which once Mussolini spent a day during a visit of Munich, is today the seat of the Bavarian Prime Minister. in the early days the building was surrounded lovely with lawns and belonged to the English garden, but nowadays it is unfortunately isolated by two roads with heavy traffic.
